Women’s Health Clinic Donates To SANDS Charity Throughout June

The Surrey Park Clinic is home to a team of specialists in fertility and women’s health. Throughout June, they have been donating 5% of all revenue from pregnancy scans to the charity SANDS.

The devastating and life-changing grief that comes with losing a baby is not something anyone should have to go through alone. The charity offers support, advice, and guidance to bereaved families while they go through an unthinkable experience.

The Surrey Park Clinic often build relationships with parents from the beginning of their fertility journey right through to pregnancy recovery and rehabilitation.

They offer pregnancy scans from 6 – 37 weeks including wellbeing scans and Harmony testing for parents as they navigate through pregnancy and the exciting time of welcoming another little life into the world.

However, the team at the clinic are well aware that sometimes pregnancies are not so ‘straightforward’. There may be health complications linked to the placenta, existing conditions and a number of other factors that could link to a stillbirth. Similarly, there are, unfortunately, many reasons why parents may have to struggle through a neonatal death.

Alongside the professional care The Surrey Park Clinic provides to parents throughout their pregnancies, it is important to them that they can offer support or direction to those who may need it in times of grief.

That is why they have donated 5% of revenue from pregnancy scans in June to SANDS.

Their clinic director Katie Biddiss said, “This is part of our ongoing commitment to support local communities and families on their journey to parenthood.”

Without donations and extra support – the charity can’t continue its research into neonatal death and stillbirths. So by taking a portion of their revenue, the clinic is able to participate in the continuation of the much-needed services SANDS provides.
